Ahmed is an Asset Management and Reliability Leader with over 34 years of experience in Maintenance and Reliability, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, and Asset Management. He has spent over 26 years in the Oil and Gas industry, working for leading international companies such as Shell, BP, and Total, including over 22 years in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling. He is certified in several related fields, including being a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Asset Reliability Practitioner (ARP CAT-A), and Certified Trainer from the International Training & Consultancy Forum (ITCF). He is also a member of several professional organizations, such as the Egyptian Engineering Syndicate (EES), the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), and the Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability (GSMR).

Ahmed has led several teams throughout his career, including Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Teams (thrice), Asset Management Team, Asset Management System Project Team, and Reliability and Data Management Team (in Shell/BP/Total joint-venture companies). He has planned and led over 40 major shutdowns/turnarounds and several major overhauls. Also, has experience in EPC Mega Projects and has Led several CMMS/AMS system Implementations. He led one of the largest Asset Management System implementation projects in the Middle East and the world in EPC mega projects for ADNOC Offshore new fields (in UAE) involving over 180,000 assets.

In addition, he conducted presentations, workshops, masterclasses, and webinars at major international conferences worldwide.
